We lost my mom, Diane, to cancer on April 16, 2023.

Well, I shouldn't say we lost. She moved along her journey -- peacefully, the way she wanted to. We miss her terribly.

But in honor of her legacy as a lifelong nurse and caregiver, we're starting a scholarship in her memory at Clinton Community College.

This scholarship will be awarded to a nontraditional nursing student on a year basis.

Many folks have asked, how can they help? So I'm resetting her GoFundMe for anyone who wants to participate. Your donations will help fund her scholarship going forward, starting this fall.

We also welcome donations in her memory to the University of Iowa Holden Cancer Center and the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.
