Friends, Mohammad Romel and I NEED your SUPPORT. We are taking my research and putting it into a short documentary on the labor movement in the garment industry in Bangladesh. The documentary will focus on educating workers on their trade union rights, and on how workers and allies abroad can show solidarity.
I am hoping this is a way I can give back to the movement. Such a project requires funds to pay the cost of a crew, filming, editing and subtitles, and so much more as you know.
I am asking if you can (1) support the project in any amount you can ($25, $50, $100)
Other ways to help, include:
1) Pass this along to your friends via social media (FB, Instagram, Twitter)
2) Send out an email to your friends or contacts. Email me for a form letter/example that you can use.
3) Introduce me to individuals who could support such a project
4) Link me with foundations that can provide small discretionary grants. We started our first shoot today. Special thanks to organizer Nazma Akter for giving time today as well as inspiring members of Awaj Foundation
