UPDATE: March 7,2021 11am-Second surgery went well, still in critical condition, but improving.
On March 4, 2021 Evaristo Nunez was shot and critically injured while following his vehicle that had been stolen from the gas station at Exit 13, near his home. He is currently in a hospital in Boise in critical condition.
Evaristo is a long time resident of Sand Hollow where he is raising his family. The Nunez family has four children, son Diego is a long time firefighter with the Sand Hollow Fire Department.
Evaristo is employed at a local dairy. Given the severity of his injuries it will be a length of time before he is able to return to work. We are asking for assistance towards removing some of the stress from the family at this time.
El 4 de marzo de 2021 Evaristo Núñez recibió un disparo y resultó gravemente herido mientras seguía su vehículo que había sido robado de la gasolinera de la salida 13, cerca de su casa. Actualmente se encuentra en un hospital en Boise en estado crítico.
Evaristo es residente desde hace mucho tiempo de Sand Hollow, donde cria a su familia. La familia Núñez tiene cuatro hijos, el hijo Diego es un bombero desde hace mucho tiempo con el Departamento de Bomberos Sand Hollow.
Evaristo se emplea en una lechería local. Dada la gravedad de sus lesiones, será mucho tiempo antes de que pueda volver al trabajo. Estamos pidiendo ayuda para eliminar parte del estrés de la familia en este momento.
