This fund is being setup for my cousin Marcy and her family. (Story below) The funds will be used to cover expenses that arise during treatment, which will continue for some time. This will allow Marcia and Richard to concentrate on the getting well stuff and not the how do we pay that bill stuff.
Marcy has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor called an anaplastic astrocytoma. It is in her right temporal lobe and has many "fingers" going through brain tissue. She has a surgery date for a Crainiotomy and brain resection where the Dr's will attempt a risky surgery to remove as much as they can. They think up to 50%. She will then go into 6 weeks of radiation and 6-12 months of chemo.
She is a mom to four lively children and wife to Richard, who has been a pastor for 20 years. She home schools two of her children and maintains a small business, that she will be taking a break from. The family live hours from medical care and will be making many trips to the cities where surgery and treatment will be taking.
