Myx’s Bday Wish: AbleChair Urgently Needed 4Bedbound Grandma

To my beloved community, and those who don’t know me personally, my name is Myx Lee and I am reaching out to you all to ask for support on behalf of my grandmother who is disabled and has been silently suffering without a way to get around or even leave her bedroom for over a year, and completely immobilized/bed bound for over 8 months. As you are all probably aware, the healthcare industry and the state of New York tend to overlook the elderly and disabled. To the state she is just a number and someone who will soon might be even more vulnerable as the “Big Beautiful Bill” has been passed by President Trump and will soon take effect. Her original motorized chair that was provided to her was given with mismatched, old wheels and broke not too long after she recieved it. This chair was more than just a mobility aid, it’s her lifeline. If anything such as a fire or emergency were to happen, as a larger person who also cannot physically walk she would have no way of being able to vacate the premises. I am asking for $10k to buy her an AbleChair, which is on sale from the usual $14k, which would save her life and give her the agency she so urgently needs. I never ask for help unless it is absolutely paramount to me and my families survival, and with the way the cards have been dealt for me in the last year I do not have the funds to secure this alone. It’s me and my grandmother against the world and I hope that you, my community and person reading this, can help in any way possible.
