Hello everyone! If you know me, I am generally private on things like this, but the need is too great. On December 1, 2021 I had a TIA (mini stroke) at work. Naturally, we went to the hospital via ambulance, but I was still walking and everything. I walked to the restroom on my own and everything. The next day, on December 2, the doctor didn't read the note that said to lower my BP slowly because it was extremely high and brought it down way too quickly and that is what caused my stroke (I know, I know, crazy!). I have no recollection until December 29 which was the first time I was lucid enough to have a conversation. I was told I suffered a massive stroke and several smaller strokes on December 2, 2021. I was finally released from in patient rehabilitation on September 29 and now I am out- patient at home and there are a bunch of things needed....
1. We need a wheelchair van - they run about $60,000
2. Initial setup for the home - $10,000
3. New wheelchair- a good one will probably cost about -$10,000
4. Rising medical costs-$20,000
Anything you can donate will really be appreciated!!
