I’m writing this for my brother, Scott Prozy. He worked in the Union for 20 years and then to start on his own dream of owning his own business. He started his own business in May 2021. People that know Scott and are familiar with his eye for detail, know that he always goes far and beyond what the job at hand details for, even if he isn’t charging to do the extra work, he wants the job to be perfect. Scott has 3 children, Levi (12 yrs Old), Connor (9 yrs Old), and Ava (7 Yrs Old). Scott has helped many people through life, either financially or through fixing items that they needed fixed at no cost. At one time, Scotts unpaid schedule was taking more of his life than the jobs that he was getting paid for. On July 1st , 2024 Scott was having back pain from falling on a job that he had been on for three months. He went to the Emergency Room, and they could not figure out the problem with his back and arm. So, as time went on, Scott was having more and more problems walking and being mobile, and if you know my brother, he was always on the go. On August 4th, 2024, he had to call an ambulance because he could not walk at all. So that is what leads me to this, they did tests. MRI and a cat scan and then Doctor’s started showing up at his ER Room. The doctors told us that his spine looked like a rat had been chewing on it from the infection that was in it. They were very vague about him ever walking again. They had to remove an abscess at the top of his spine which this is wording straight from them. My brother had a THORACIC VERTEBRAL OSTEOMYELITIS/DISCITIS and a T2-T6 FUSION. So, I met with the doctors while Scott was in Surgery, they told my brother and I, that walking is going to be very hard for Scott and after the surgery, he may never feel his legs again. Thank God out of surgery, Scott can feel his legs and feet, but the road ahead is going to be a long and financially hard on him. He has car payments, rent, insurance and everyday necessities. They told him to apply for full disability and he plans on it. The downfall is that it may take years to get approved and everyone knows that bills keep on coming in. I just don’t want my brother to have to worry about finances, without an income coming in. He doesn’t even have health insurance, due to him owning his own business. The Hospital is trying to get him approved, but that also may take a very long time. So, if you can help my brother through these hard times, I know he will appreciate it. My brother is going to be 41 years old on the 19th of this month. I know he would have never thought he would be in the predicament that he is in. Please say a special prayer for him. The funds will be used for Medical Bills and copays. It also will be used for bills accumulated while being in the hospital. He maybe in the hospital for three months. Hopefully it is not that long but this is what the doctors have projected. Thank you and God Bless. He has been recently moved to the rehab center and they have started bed exercises, his left leg is moving and is a little stronger than his right, but time will tell. Thank You and God Bless!!
