Jazz's Summer at The Mayo Clinic

Heya, folks.
If you know me, you know I've spent the better part of my life learning to live life with seizures. While I've also had the pleasure of learning how to live with many other diseases and issues in the last 10 years, it seems that they've compiled once again into something that's a little bigger than than the local doctors, mostly because they have the displeasure of not being able to work in the same office.
With a pacemaker and the many issues that come with it, ulcers, a hiatal hernia, an overactive vegal nerve, neuropathy, adema and the many other discomforts that come with an autoimmune disease, and as of late, a diagnosis of pretty severe gastroparesis, it seems it's time to have a team of specialists in one place, at one time, instead of a team of specialists all working towards seperate goals in seperate locations.
While this may be the golden goose my girls and I have been waiting for, it's come at a time when I've been on short term disability off and on for some time. I've depleted my 401K savings since being suddenly let go from my tenured job due to the very seizures and other issues I'm hoping to see alleviated with these somewhat intimidating trips to Jacksonville.
The party starts July 5th.
I've been told that my stay could be any length of time, and I should expect return visits. I've also been told we're going to kick off the festivities with the neurological end of things, and we'll work out from there in regards to other specialist appointments and tests.
Having said that, I'll be responsible for getting myself to the hospital, and for any hotel stays, since the preliminary visits will all be appointment style until it's decided what treatments and referrals need to be made. And of course, my copayments, coinsurance and any other fees that are required for diagnosis and treatment. Thankfully, The Mayo Clinic is In Network for me, so there's that.
Once a treatment plan is decided, if admittance is necessary, I will no longer need the hotel unless someone is required to be with me.
The clinic works to ensure that travelling patients have as many appointments and tests in as few days as possible to minimize costs, so they're on my side when it comes to money. (My body will likely think differently. Lol)
Welp... there you have it. Basically, I desperately need your help, if you are able to give it. Even a share of this campaign will help tremendously, as much as having all this out for the world to see makes me cringe a bit. Either way, thanks for reading this far. And thanks for being a caring member of my life. That alone, helps tremendously. ♡
