Mysterious lesions all over 9 year old sweet boy
Donation protected
Chance has been sick since early March and was getting progressively worse until he was taken by
ambulance to UC Davis Children's Hospital on Monday, where he spent his 9th birthday in a hospital
bed. Chance has been diagnosed with a severe autoimmune disease that is not only attacking his body
but confusing food with a foreign substance and immediately rejecting and expelling all of it.
Chance is suffering from severe pain, dangerous chronic malnutrition, dehydration, multiple lesion
outbreaks and anemia. His doctor says this disease has progressed so fast, causing more damage in 3
months than he's seen in other patients in 3 years. This disease can also cause premature osteoporosis, joint inflammation and unbearable pain, hair loss, tooth decay, etc. They are currently awaiting multiple test and biopsy results to find some answers. Craig and Kelly Eandi have been with Chance in the hospital the whole time as any parent would, so Craig has not been able to work. Currently,
we are unsure when he will be able to return. At some point when Chance gets discharged, they will have to drive back and forth to UC Davis for his IV infusion treatments. There is no cure for this
disease but his medical team is hoping that with aggressive treatment, they can force it into
remission. As we all know, gas is so expensive right now! Their room at the Ronald McDonald's
house expires Sunday and there are no more available. All hotel expenses will then be out of pocket. Just the hospital parking alone is $20 a day! Craig and Kelly having to eat all meals in the hospital
cafeteria is costing a fortune! Medi-cal is refusing to pay for Chance's very expensive liquid diet and the appeal may take quite a while, and there is still no guarantee they will win the appeal. So if there is any amount at all you can help contribute to this sweet boy and his parents it is greatly
appreciated. Also just sharing his story. Thank you so very much for taking the time to read.
