Hi! My name is Jason Oliemans and I am a member of the Smithers Ski and Snowboard Club. This year, I am taking ski racing to the next level, going to higher level competitions, with more ambitious goals. This season I will be going to races in B.C, Alberta, Colorado, Maine, and Quebec, ending off with a North-American Cup race and Canadian National Championships here in my hometown of Smithers.

About me:
· Born January 17, 1997 (18 years old) in Smithers, B.C
· I am a passionate Ski Cross racer, pursuing a once in a lifetime opportunity
· I have the skills and determination to succeed
· Skiing since age 5
· Alpine ski racing for 7 years
· Athlete leader within Smithers Ski and Snowboard Club and North Zone (Terrace through Quesnel, B.C)
· Community Ambassador for Hudson Bay Mountain and the town of Smithers, B.C
· Level 1 CSCF ski coach
Some Results/achievements:
· North Zone Overall Top Skier Trophy 2011-2014
· 5th (2nd place one run) at U16/U18 provincial caliber race in Invermere (panorama ski hill)
· 1st in Mega Cross Ski Cross (open category) – March 2015
· 1st in Schuss Boomer Downhill (my age category) – Feb 2015
· 3rd in Western Ski Cross Race – Feb 2015
· 11th at Canadian Jr. Nationals – March 2015
· 16th at Canadian National Championships – March 2015
· Qualified for National Development Team spring camp in Canmore, Alberta – Apr. 2015
· Qualified for National Development team fall camp in Saas Fee, Switzerland – Oct. 2015
My Short Term Goals (1-2years):
· Establish myself as a top competitor on the Nor-Am race circuit
· Compete at World Juniors
· Make it on the Canada Ski Cross Next Gen Team
My Long Term Goals (3-10years):
· Compete in the Ski Cross World Cup Circuit
· Represent Canada in the Olympic Games
How I plan to achieve these goals:
· Training here on Hudson Bay Mountain with the Smithers Ski and Snowboard Club
· Attending high level ski camps with athletes from across Canada
· Maintaining a high level of fitness throughout the whole year
· Proving my skills at races
· Pushing my boundaries by competing and training with older, more experienced, and faster athletes
Why I need your help:
· Skiing costs more money than I can make
· This means that I will probably be forced to stop racing after this season if I spend the summer paying off previous seasons
Why support me?:
· I am a role model for younger athletes in the club
· I am an ambassador for the community throughout Canada and abroad
· I have found success in Ski Cross so far, and I am excited to race at a higher level and pursue my World Cup and Olympic dreams

Thank you very much for your support and belief in my dreams. It means the world to me to be able to continue doing what I love. All the best!!
