My sister's cancer fight

Hi, My Name is Ingrid. My only Sister Barbara, has been my best friend for many years. Yeah, when we were growing up I was the big sister and wasn't so nice. But as we got older our relationship went from "family ties" to real "best friends". We 'found' each other in 2006. She moved to Florida to start new life. And she did! Am, so proud of how she fixed her life. She left New York because of failed marriage. (note: her ex husband and she remained friends til he died of diabetes in 2009; he vacationed with her in Florida and helped her in financial difficulties. They loved each other but couldn't live with each other.....(
After months of looking and small part time jobs, She got a job with a major city in Florida and retired after 16 years on the job in April of this year (2015). They gave her a wonderful retirement send off. Her reputation was spotless and she was admired by all her co workers.
Anyway, that is a small glimpse into her life. very small.....
In 2002 in Florida, (long story short why he was in Florida) my son's girlfriend gave birth to a beautiful daughter. My son's girlfriend was a 'user' if you know what I mean, and my first granddaugher was removed from my son and her mother by the authorities pending further investigation.
My granddaugher was to be put into the 'system". My son begged my sister (his aunt) to help; he begged on his knees for my sister to take my granddaughter, Daniella, in and be her guardian. My sister, Barbara, went to court on Easter Sunday, 2002, and offered to take in her "grand-niece" in as the guardian. My sister, Barbara, had a full time job, supporting herself, but took Daniella in, no questions asked. Barbara found day care, and was our Daniella's mother for the first 12 months of her life. My sister took my wonderful Daniella in and nurtured her, loved her as if she was her own child.......That was 13 years ago. My sister and Daniella have wonderful. close relationship to this day.
What a touching story, right? No, not so great. There is more to this story....
In January 2011 my son, Daniella's dad, and my son, Chris, died in a car accident. My sister, Barbara, again was there for me......... what more can I say?
This year, this month, October, 2015, my beloved little sister, has been diagnosed with esophegeal cancer. I've been here in Florida for the last two weeks, and the doctors in her health plan have told us that she needs more than they are able to provide. Her health provider is Health First and we have requested "out of Network" approval so we can go to NYC to Memorial Sloan Kettering. We have been denied. We need funds to save my sister's life. She is retired and on a small pension and Social Security. But her medical plan will only cover 'in network'. "In Network" has no doctors, etc.
We need to get help in New York. My little sis is only 64; retired in April. Got 2 months of retirement until she found she was unable to eat.
I will gladly provide more details.
Thankyou for reading this saga.
