Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters, 

We are reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit.  

Our long time friend Myron Sanders has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He has a massive 7x7x5 cm, inoperable tumor that causes him tremendous amounts of pain and unbearable agony. For months now, Myron has been dealing with this illness without the proper care and pain management he desperately needs. He has spent hopeless, restless nights on end while his cancer and pain have progressed.

He has endured several rounds of radiation but due to an adverse reaction, he has been left severely burned. He is now unable to receive radiation or chemotherapy while he focuses on healing these additional injuries. The cancer continues to grow and his pain has reached epic levels. 

As of December 19th, with the help of a few friends, he is now getting the proper care and support he deserves at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He has been assigned an AMAZING team of doctors comprised of several different kinds of oncologists, pain management and wound care specialists, general medicine, surgeons, a dietician, and many more.

The road ahead will be grueling and painful, but Myron is strong and determined! You can hear it in his voice and in spite of it all; Myron's fighting spirit remains unbroken and HE wants to continue this fight! 

Cancer not only takes a toll on a person’s physical health but can also pose huge financial challenges. We have created this GoFundMe to raise funds that will help Myron navigate the financial burdens associated with this medical journey. Funds will be used for medical treatments not covered by insurance, hospital bills, medication, any other unforeseen expenses, and most importantly, transitional housing in a rehabilitation/palliative care center. Myron has been without a job or income for over 6 months now. 

Myron's strength and resilience inspire us all. Let's rally together and show him that he is not alone in this fight!
