Myra's tooth tragedy

I am Miriam Eyges and I am raising money for my dear friend, Myra Myer from Salem, Massachusetts. Myra is one of the most kind, caring, and thoughtful people I have ever known.

Myra's tooth nightmare began over 2 years ago with a root canal that wasn't done properly and caused an infection.  As a result, Myra got multiple abcessed teeth as the infection spread. She was on antibiotics for 2 1/2 years but the medication only temporarily relieved the horrendous pain she was experiencing. Her doctor even put her on a pic line for 2 months to try to stop the infection but this only worked temporarily.  Myra has also had multiple surgeries for these mouth infections and had to have a good portion of her upper and lower teeth pulled. Out of 30+ teeth, there are only 6 teeth remaining on the top and 6 on the bottom and these teeth are beginning to spread out and her face is becoming deformed. Not only is it hard to eat but her speech isbeing  affected.   On top of this one of her remaining front teeth has chippedd from having to eat on those teeth only. 

The only solution for Myra is to have her last few teeth pulled and have false teeth made. I hope to raise at least $3500 for the false teeth. The reason that Myra can not afford to pay for new teeth is that she has to pay a tremendous amount of out of pocket medical expenses incurred over the past 2 1/2 years for what insurance would not cover. 

I hope that the $3,500 can be raised within a couple of months so that Myra can start to eat solid food again. She has been subsisting on primarily smoothies.

Raising money for Myra's teeth means more to me than words can express. She is like the younger sister that I never had. My heart broke seeing her suffer for over 2 years so how joyful it will be to see Myra well again with new teeth. Also, I want to "pay it forward" because I was able to have 4 root canals done by generous people donating to a campaign for my teeth. Myra deserves the same blessings that I received.
