Myran Family fundraiser

On September 11th, 2023, the Myran family’s 6 year old daughter was in terrible accident. Walking to school with her siblings, she was involved in a bus-pedestrian accident in Steinbach, Manitoba. She was airlifted by STARS to the Winnipeg Children’s Hospital in critical condition. She underwent life-saving surgery, and will have a long road to recovery ahead of her.

The Myran family will experience many expenses along the way as they care for their youngest daughter. They also have four other school-aged children to care for during this difficult time for their family.

The Myran family is a part of Stonehouse Covenant Church in Steinbach. We are supporting the family as we are able, but many other concerned community members have asked how they can help, which is why we created this fundraiser.

Shannon Friesen, pastor at Stonehouse Covenant Church, and Tara Schellenberg, Chair of the Stonehouse Council, created this fundraiser for our friends, the Myran family. In order to protect the privacy of their little girl, we are not publishing her name. Her father, Elton Nolin, has been named the beneficiary of this fundraiser for his family (the children share their mother’s last name, Myran). We have set up a charitable trust account at the Steinbach Credit Union to help the family pay bills during this time of increased medical costs. The money raised from this fundraiser will help pay for living expenses, transportation expenses, rehab expenses, and medical expenses.
