Myra's March to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi, everyone. Thank you for visiting our page. Anyone who knows the Torrens family knows that our family includes our four furry family members.
We’re sad to share the news that Myra, fur baby to Charlotte and Rob, fell down the stairs on Monday night resulting in paralysis. But we’re happy to share that she is receiving excellent medical care in Detroit, with a 50% chance of recovery. We believe that Myra’s feisty personality will result in her being part of the 50% success rate.
Charlotte and Rob just bought their first home and are expecting their first (human) baby in the fall. There was no hesitation to give Myra the care she needs, but it does come with an unexpected financial burden. She is currently receiving treatment at a facility in Detroit – she is expected to be there for three to five days to undergo an MRI, followed by surgery and rehabilitation.
We expect the cost to be around $5,000. We would like to help Charlotte and Rob during this difficult time…and we’re asking our family and friends to help too. Any amount would be so helpful and deeply appreciated. If we exceed the cost of the care, we will donate the additional funds to the Windsor Humane Society.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you’re unable to help financially, please just send Myra, Charlotte and Rob good vibes.
To help spread the word, please share our link on your Facebook timeline.
Thank you from Anabelle, Rooney and Louis.
(and our humans Tom, Sandy, Caitlin, Charlotte, Rob, Emily and James)
