Support Owen’s Fight Against Medulloblastoma

Owen was diagnosed with medulloblastoma at 10 months old. This is an extremely rare cancer in infants, about 250-500 cases in children under the age of one in the whole country.

He had neurosurgery to remove the tennis ball sized tumor from his brain and then received a drain which let him move from the ICU to a step down floor. He is currently undergoing 6 month-long, in-hospital, cycles of super-intense chemotherapy as he is too young for radiation therapy. A procedure was done to extract Owen’s stem cells which will be used to rescue Owen after the final three rounds of super-aggressive chemotherapy that will wipe out 100% of his immune system. These harvested stem cells will, at that point, be used to save Owen’s life.

Owen’s mom has had to step down from her position as a long-time pharmacist at Baylor in order to accommodate Owen’s unpredictable and ever-changing hospital admissions, outpatient chemo protocols, repeat MRI & CT scans, and bone marrow transplants.

Owen has two sisters at home and a brother on the way in November.

Expenses are growing hourly, day in and day out.

If you would consider being a hero to Owen and to the Hooper family, it would mean the world to us.
