Myles Theodore Henselder Fund

On September 1st, 2020,  at 10:07am, Myles Theodore Henselder was born. Heartrendingly, only a few sweet, precious minutes later, he was no longer with us. He had been diagnosed with Type 2 Thanatophoric Dysplasia during the pregnancy at about 20 weeks, and we knew this was likely the outcome. No matter how much notice we had, we were both devastated when the time came.  We cherish every moment that we had with him, as he went peacefully while being held in both of our arms. At the time, we weren't sure how much time we would have with him, and that made things so much harder. Shortly after he passed, one of the Doctors had mentioned such a beautiful thing. She told us about the Cuddle Cot, which was a device designed to help give us some more time with our son, and we didn't think twice to use it. We spent the day with our son, and the next day, and while it seemed like such a foreign idea at the time, it was so comforting being able to talk to our sweet Myles, and tell him how much we love him.  We were able to get that precious time that not everyone is able to get, and it helped us both so much. While sitting with Myles, we saw a small tag on the side of the Cuddle Cot that told us a story of a girl named Caitlyn, and how her parents lost her some odd years ago, and that they donated the Cuddle Cot in her memory.  Apparently, it seems, hospitals do not buy these, as they are only donated,  most Labor and Delivery rooms don't have them. We are so appreciative of their donation, that we have decided to try and raise the funds to be able to do the same for other families that are in similar situations that we were in with Myles Theodore.  While we wish so badly that things were different, we remind ourselves that Myles only knew love, and never suffered. We love him, and will continue to love him until we are with him again. We are so grateful for our time with him, and will never forget how lucky we were to have him be apart of our lives, even if only for a short time. We are moved by the generosity of those that have helped us in our time of sorrow, and we now ask your help to pass along that sweet precious time for as many people as we can help. We love you Myles Theodore Henselder, until we hold you again. Love Mommy and Daddy "I'll love you forever,  I'll like you for always,  As Long as I'm living' My baby you'll be." Robert N. Munsch
