Myles (Smyles) Stockden’s Funeral

February 28th our families world came crashing beneath our feet.

 

We learned that our beloved Myles, a well loved brother and uncle and father of three had sadly ended his life and died through suicide. Myles was found on the morning of 28th Feb in his loft, this has come to a massive shock. We would never have expect to be burying Myles this early. He was going to be celebrating his big 50 this year and had so much life ahead of him.

 

Myles is loved by so many and will be greatly missed. We never knew his dying wishes and will never know as he left the world unexpectedly and so suddenly! But knowing our Myles like we do - he would want a bloody good piss up and to go out with everyone celebrating his life and jamming to old school oasis and good music vibes!

 

With the way Myles left us, there were no provisions or plans for his funeral and his wants and wishes. Equally no funeral plan or life insurance. So as a family we are all pulling together to give him the send off he deserves. Anyone that would like to donate to help give Myles the send of he deserves we ask that you do so through this page. Myles was never a keen gardener or a lover of floral displays and flowers so if anyone can make any donation however big or small instead of flowers and we would all be grateful and know we can do him proud!

 

We are waiting for his body to be released and once we are able to do this and register his death we can make provisions for his funeral! With this EVERYONE is welcome. Spread the word, anyone that knew Myles is welcome. He had so many friends and long standing friends who always stuck by him, it would mean a lot for everyone to come along and give him the send of he would have wanted.

Whilst Myles is no longer here in person he will always be with us in spirit and soul… He chose this for him at that time, now he can be resting with a drink in hand sat along side his mum, our Nan - Rose. They are together now. Now they are together my heart our hearts hurt in a different way. We will never know why and we will always wish you didn’t choose this. But we will party for you, have a drink for you, raise a glass for you! Our Myles

 

As a family we are still in shock trying to understand why, and grieve. But we will update everyone as we know more.

 

Our hearts will never stop hurting. Sleep tight. Give Nan/Mum a kiss from us. Until we meet again,
