Help Support Myla Carson and Her Fight Against Cancer

We are reaching out to friends, family, and the community to support William “Billy” Carson and his 14-year-old daughter, Myla, during an incredibly challenging time. Myla has recently been diagnosed with spindle cell rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She will soon begin chemotherapy, followed by surgery to remove the tumor from her back.

Billy has been a dedicated member of the Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department for the past 11 years. Now, as a father, he faces the toughest battle yet: helping Myla fight this disease. Myla resides in Florida with her mother, where she will receive treatment. Billy will be traveling back and forth from Maryland to Florida to support Myla every step of the way.

This GoFundMe is being created to help ease the financial burden during this time. Donations will be used for:

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance

• Travel costs to allow Billy to be with Myla as much as possible

• Lost wages from taking necessary time off work
