Abraham's Wheelchair Fund

Hello everyone!  My name is Abraham Cabrera.  I am 26 years old.  I am in desperate need of a new wheelchair and this is why I am asking for your help.

I was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 5.  Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a genetic, degenerative, and terminal muscle disease where the muscles gradually weaken and cease to function over time. The progressive muscle weakness leads to serious medical problems, particularly issues relating to the heart and lungs. It is an X-linked disorder so it typically affects mainly boys. Those with DMD are typically in a wheelchair by age 7-12 with an average life expectancy of 20-30 years. There is no cure.

I am in the process of getting a job and I am currently attending Pierce College majoring in History and Astronomy.  A wheelchair to me are like my legs without it I can not get around and it makes life a lot more difficult.  The reason why the wheelchair I need is so expensive is because it has to be customized to my body.

Any donation no matter how big or small will make a huge difference in my life.  And if you can not donate at this moment sharing my story will be highly appreciated!  Thank you all for your time!  Much Love:)
