Hello dearest friends, family members and supporters, 

My name is Mikayla S. Campbell, and I am an actor. It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I announce: I am officially in production for My Historic Film Project! This project has been merely a seed in my imaginative and whimsical mind for quite some time, and only now have I mustered up the courage, self-permission and resources to see that seed planted. My Historic Film Project will be a compilation of scenes set in the beautiful Victorian era. Complete with authentic costumes, sets, high quality equipment and marvelous actors to work opposite myself, I have hired a newly launched production company, Pine Tree Pictures (link below), to collaborate with on this magnificent and formidable undertaking who, like myself, believes in quality and accuracy. My objective in the completion of this project is to create material that all involved artists can be proud to showcase in their personal footage/reels/portfolios. Said footage will showcase acting ability and range in myself and felllow actors, as well as the extraordinary talents of each hired participant. I want to create a professional camaraderie amongst my dedicated peers of the film industry, as it’s common in LA to meet numerous filmmakers, actors, cinematographers, hair and makeup artists who simply crave the frequently absent work. It is uncommon for actors in particular to book quality period projects (without a “Game of Thrones" or "Downton Abbey” budget), never mind possessing the ability to choose what we work on. Having earned a Master’s Degree in all the splendor that is London, it is there that birthed the notion and solidified the reality that anyone was free to create whatever work one was inspired to create. You simply must find and/or generate the means to do so.

With that being said, I intend to fund this project myself. A daunting thought but then again, not impossible with the help of GoFundMe! I would be honored and grateful for any contribution big or small, to assist in achieving this monumental endeavor. Please come along with me on this journey and be a part of my production. Enjoy some behind the scenes footage and photos and witness what goes into the magic of filmmaking. In addition to helping my team and I, you would also be helping to preserve history. We are confirmed to shoot at the exquisite and breathtaking outdoor Heritage Square Museum (link below) in Los Angeles, where Victorian mansions were relocated many years ago to be saved from demolition. It is a privately owned museum and every production that films there, contributes to the maintenance and survival of the historic and irreplaceable mansions.
