Donate to Help Build a School in Peru

November kicks off Myco's Season of Giving!

Last year, due to the generous donations of many of you, we raised enough money to bring clean water to the remote village of Rocco, Peru. Thank you for helping us meet our goal!

This year, your surplus used lab equipment could help build a secondary school in the village of Pampaitcha, Peru! MYCO is helping to raise $12,000 through seeking donations of used lab equipment or monetary donations. Myco will match each donation dollar for dollar until our goal is achieved!

Hope Projects International previously funded the building of a primary school (grades 1-3) in the Pampaitcha village. This significantly impacted the village, and the villagers saw what a blessing it was for their children to have an education. With the skills the Hope projects taught the villagers while building the primary school, the parents and other village members took the initiative and began building a secondary school (grades 4-8) where the children could continue learning. The villagers started making adobe bricks out of mud and straw and built the school's physical structure. Now, they need our help to finish their school by providing such items as flooring, interior and exterior plaster, paint, doors, windows, desks, chairs, stairs, bathrooms and basic school supplies. See the picture included to see the completed primary school on the right and the beginning steps of the secondary school, which these truly amazing and hardworking villagers completed. These children typically receive one meal a day at home. When the school is complete, the Peruvian government promised to provide a teacher and an additional meal for these children while at school. We want to help make that happen!
