Save Mickey's Life

In 2012 Mycandra joined the world, but she got off to a really rocky start in life. She was not expected to live past 6 months. She underwent more than 10 surgeries in her first year of life. She has a condition called duadenal atresia. She was also diagnosed with malrotation of the bowels and motility issues. Her stomach only empties at 11%. She suffers chronic pain and constipation as a result of those. This warrior will have a very tough journey ahead of her in life, however, there is always a light of hope. There is a doctor that can help Mycandra, he is capable of performing a surgery to help with the malrotation of the bowels. He is in Cleveland and is the only doctor in the world that can perform this surgery. The surgery is a massive abdominal reconstruction surgery. The hope is that by doing this surgery that we can alleviate or even eliminate the pain that she suffers. MEDICAID HAS DENIED PAYING FOR THE SURGERY BECAUSE ITS STILL IN ITS RESEARCH STAGES. EVEN THOUGH ALL 100 PAITENTS THAT HAS HAD THIS SURGERY HAS BEEN A SUCCESS. MEDICAID STILL REFUSES TO COVER THE SURGERY. She has missed a lot of school as a result of the condition, but she has so much more potential. The outcome will hopefully be that she can get her life back by having her intestines put back where they are supposed to be. Help her be a kid, because even something like a back bend can kill her.  We are are doing everything we can to help her carry on a long, happy life as she has already far surpassed expectations and has so much spunk and love for life.
