Hello friends, family, and kind hearted strangers,

My name is Mandy and I never thought I would be asking people on the internet for help. If you know me, you know I never ask for help but it’s something I’m working on when needed. I’m starting this go fund me for our 8 year old dog, Mya. She has a leg injury and although we don’t have a specific diagnosis yet, so far it’s looking like she has an ACL tear and possible more ligament damage. Just the initial vet visit has cost us a little under 1,000 dollars and this is just the beginning. In a few weeks she will have to be sent out for special imaging of her leg and meet with an orthopedic surgeon to determine next steps. I have never asked anyone for money and never thought I would be making a go fund me but here we are. My heart is breaking watching her suffer and this surgery is going to cost thousands out of pocket. I’m not sure how we will be able to pay for Mya’s surgery without asking for help. If you feel it in your heart to donate even $1, it would mean the world to us! Every dollar counts. If you can’t afford to donate, that’s completely okay. Even prayers or support on my recent TikTok video talking about her situation can help bring money in. My handle is mandy_motherhood. Mya’s story- Mya was an impulse buy back in 2018 off of FB marketplace. We picked her up at a truck stop for $50 lol She is a Labraheeler (black lab and red heeler mix) and WOW we had no idea what we were signing up for getting that breed but it was truly meant to be. She was meant for our crazy family!! When we picked her up she smelt like cigarettes and was covered in fleas. At the time we had no kids so she instantly became the center of our lives! She has been there through our journey. College, marriage, moving, becoming a big sister to 4 tiny humans. She’s rode this crazy and sometimes chaotic ride right along side of us. She’s the center of this family and honestly the best family dog. She has so much energy and loves running around with the kids so it’s breaking my heart seeing her watching from the window as the kids are playing. I just know she’s hurting physically and emotionally so much. She’s our world and I’m committed to doing everything in my power to see her happy and healthy again. Mya deserves many more years of happiness and to be able to run along side the kids again.
