MYART, Musical Youth Artists Repertory Theatre, is a non-profit organization that has been cultivating the arts within children from our local communities for over 25 years.  MYART services the greater Orange County and Long Beach areas.  It has been a consistent place in our community where children and teens of all races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, gender identities, and special needs have been supported and cared for through the arts.  Last year MYART’s Showcase Performance Troupe caught the attention of a Broadway composer, after we performed one of his original songs which spotlighted the struggles of special needs children.  After building a friendship with our Troupe, he came to do a concert for us while visiting in California.  In return we would like to bring a concert to him at the Empire State Building in New York City! Yes! New York City! We will also be performing for outreach programs in the area for local school children, seeing a few Broadway shows, participating in a workshop with a Broadway Actor, as well as particitpating in an educational tour of NYC. We are all so excited but we must find a way to get there! In order to get all of our performers to NYC we will need to rely upon our own fundraising efforts.  We are starting this page in hopes that some of you out there understand the importance of providing opportunities for children to explore the arts and are willing to donate.   In order to send these amazingly talented kids on a trip of a lifetime with an organization that has taught them so much about the arts, acceptance, & friendship we will need to raise $55,000 by January 1st, 2017.  Can you please help in any way to get us there?
