My name is Martin Manser and I am raising funds to reprint 10,000 copies of the Myanmar Study Bible. The approximate cost per copy is £6.50; I would like to give him £3250 to fund 500 copies.

Mike Beaumont and I were the editors of the first Myanmar Study Bible, which was published in 2017. I am in regular touch with Jacob Mung, who has several significant responsibilities, including leader of CLC Myanmar, pastor, leader of Bible college, co-leader of an orphanage for over 50 children.

I first met Jacob in 2013 and his first words to me were, ‘We need a study Bible for new believers.’ Over the following few years Mike and I then worked on a text, providing introductions to each book of the Bible and explanations of many key teachings. Jacob then translated into Burmese and this was published by CLC Myanmar as the (first) Myanmar Study Bible in 2017.

Jacob is now reprinting 10,000 copies of this text and needs finance to fund this reprint. Approximate cost per copy is £6.50; I would like to give him finance for 500 copies, ie £3250.

Jacob forwarded the following testimonies from the 1st printing:

#1 from a pastor: ‘This study Bible is the first ever Study Bible I have for myself and the ministry. The introduction and the notes help me understand better about the Bible so as to help my preaching to the church.’

#2 from a church worker: ‘I have been doing Bible study for small groups in my church and for two decades I have already tried my best to get the course but it wasn’t easy because of the lack of resources. Thank God I got this Myanmar Study

Bible that enhances my understanding and teaching of the Bible.’
