We are raising funds through a 70km walk in 18 hour to support Medical Action Myanmar (MAM) and help those affected by the recent devastating earthquake in Myanmar. We will be doing this on the 23rd April.

Who We Are

We are Harry Carr-Ellison, Ben Frederick, Ed Chichester, Jack Arkwright, and Jack Shaw, a group of friends who lived and worked in Myanmar between 2015 and 2020. Many of us still have strong ties to the country through our businesses and ongoing work. Over the years, we’ve worked closely with Medical Action Myanmar (MAM), who have been providing much-needed support in the country for many years.

Why We’re Walking

On March 28, 2025, a 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar, causing widespread devastation. Over 1,500 buildings were destroyed in Mandalay alone, with thousands more damaged across the region. The death toll has surpassed 2,700, and many more people are injured, displaced, and in desperate need of help.

Myanmar was already in crisis before the earthquake, with ongoing conflict and aid restrictions making it harder for people to access basic essentials. Now, with the monsoon season fast approaching, there is an urgent need to provide medical care, food, and clean water to prevent further suffering.

How Your Donation Will Help

All funds raised will go directly to Medical Action Myanmar (MAM), who are already providing vital support in the country in response to the earthquake. MAM has been working in Myanmar for many years, and with the current situation, their efforts are more crucial than ever.

The funds raised will help MAM continue their work, providing essential services to those affected by the earthquake, including urgent medical care, distributing essential supplies, and assisting in the reconstruction of affected communities.
