AidME Aid for Myanmar Earthquake CCMS
Donation protected
Aid for Myanmar Earthquake (AidME) is a humanitarian initiative founded by Myanmar Community in Coffs Harbour, with the support of the Coffs Coast Multicultural Society (CCMS). We are a dedicated group of individuals committed to providing urgent relief and long-term assistance to the people of Myanmar affected by the recent devastating earthquake.
The 7.7 magnitude quake hit Friday 28th of March, with the epicenter near Myanmar’s second-largest city of Mandalay. AidME was established in response to the urgent need for humanitarian aid following the earthquake that caused widespread destruction and loss of life in Myanmar.
Relief efforts are further hampered by power outages, fuel shortages and spotty communications.
Recognising the immediate and long-term challenges faced by survivors, we came together to raise funds, provide emergency relief, and support rebuilding efforts. With the backing of CCMS, we aim to ensure that donations reach those in need through secure and reputable channels, offering hope and practical assistance to affected communities.
Through AidME, we strive to unite the local and international community in solidarity with Myanmar, working together to provide relief and recovery support.
Short-Term Objectives (Next 2 Weeks)
1. Provide Immediate Relief – Deliver emergency financial aid for equipment, food, medical supplies, and essential resources to those affected by the earthquake.
2. Establish Secure Fundraising Channels – ensure funds are properly managed through CCMS and use existing connections in Myanmar and secure channels to ensure funding reaches those in most need.
We ask for your assistance to raise these crucial funds to support the humanitarian operations and long term recovery. Any amount is received gratefully.
In gratitude,
Myanmar Community of Coffs Harbour and Coffs Coast Multicultural Society.
