Hearing The Call!
Hi, my name is Alisha O’Niel. I am reaching out to you
today to tell you a little about myself, and to give you an
opportunity to partner with me in our common goal,
spreading the word of God.
Do you find yourself asking,
“Who Am I? What am I Made for? What is my purpose
in life?” I do! Even as a believer in Christ, these
questions have held so much weight in my life. As I read my Bible, I have been finding the answers to these questions, as well as many others.
As the Lord continues to reveal the mysteries of faith to me, I have found that I have a heart for missions, and a love for his people. I have been praying to become a missionary. After attending my regular Monday night bible study God answered my prayers. I now know which direction the Lord wants me to go in order to be a disciple for him. This summer I will be going on my first mission to Zambia, Africa to work with Overland Missions.
The word of the Lord has the power to change us. We literally cannot hear, or come in contact with the word of the Lord and not be changed. “Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed.” As my knowledge of the Word grows and I get to know The Lord, I have found out who I am. Through Christ's love, grace, and sacrifice, I am an adopted daughter of the Most High, the One True Living God, our Creator, The Great I AM. I have also found out what I am made for. I am made to love others as Christ loves me, and to tell others The Gospel, the good news!
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus’ sacrifice. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. How are they to call on his name if they do not hear the call? It is our job as disciples to spread the word.
Overland Missions is passionately committed to reaching neglected areas with the message of Christ. I will serve with them on a two-week expedition, beginning June 1 and ending June 14, 2016. We will journey out on expedition trucks from the logistical base near Victoria Falls to remote villages to serve and minister to the people of southern Zambia.

with me through prayer, and financially. Although you cannot put a cost on seeing a new soul come to Jesus, the total cost of the trip, air-fare included, is $3,600 (See giving details to the left). With your help through prayer and finances we will change the world one soul at a time and continue to expand God’s Kingdom!!!
