This is my beautiful great niece Myah, she is 8 years old. A year ago Myah was a healthy young girl full of energy and always on the go. She loves arts and crafts, school, spending time with her friends and playing with her siblings which includes a younger brother and sister and and older sister. This summer Myah was diagnosed with 3 Autoimmune Diseases.

Juvenile Dermatomysitis (JDM)

Juvenile dermatomyositis is a rare autoimmune disorder in which the immune system attacks blood vessels throughout the body (called vasculopathy), causing muscle inflammation (known as myositis). 

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)

Systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus) is a chronic (long-lasting) autoimmune disease that can affect many parts of the body. Lupus occurs when the immune system, which normally helps protect the body from infection and disease, attacks its own tissues. This attack causes inflammation, and in some cases permanent tissue damage, which can be widespread – affecting the skin, joints, heart, lung, kidneys, circulating blood cells, and brain.

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA)

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is a disease that happens to children. It causes inflamed, swollen joints. This makes joints stiff and painful. The affected child may have some pain and may walk with a limp. 

Myah is being such a brave girl as she goes through her medical treatments and tests and as you can see she still has a big beautiful smile on her face.

Unfortunately her health has not improved as hoped by her medical team so now her and her mother are scheduled to go spend time in a hospital 3 hours away from her home, her siblings and her father.

With all of this going on her mother and father are struggling with having to take time off work and traveling 3 hours to and from the hospital for regular checkups, with 4 children ranging from 4 to 10 years old.

I am starting this go fund me to help them out with all the unforeseen expenses they have been experiencing over the past several months. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
