Build a community well in an area where desperately needed

Asalamu Alaikum,

Update: it is with sadness that my dear uncle Ramazan Salah returned back to Allah on 23rd April 2025 battling ill health for a number of years.

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, ‘When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him’.

i will, inshallah, be assigning one of the wells in his name. Please remember him and his family in your prayers. May Allah reward him in the hereafter and each of you who donated to this beautiful cause.

Alhamdulila, due to the generosity shown, we will now be able to create two water wells in a country that desperately needs this. This will last over 15 years and reach between 40-50 families. May Allah reward you all abundantly.

I'm raising money in aid of Muslim Global Relief to build a community water well in a country where it is most needed.

This beautiful month of Ramadan is a time of giving and what gift is more precious than the gift of clean water to areas around the world who are most deprived.

On the authority of Sa‘d ibn ’Ubadah (ra) who said, ’I asked, “O Messenger of Allah! Which charity is best?” He [saw] replied, “Providing water”’.

The raised money will help provide clean, safe drinking water for a village, school or a community in a developing country.

The water well has a lifespan of over 15 years and is implemented in small villages comprised of 20 to 25 families
