Hello! My name is Mya, and I am fundraising for my opportunity to teach English as a second language in Spain. In April 2022, I applied for this opportunity to teach English through the North American Language and Culture Assistants Program (NALCAP). I didn’t get it - or so I thought. I just found out I’ve been assigned to the Canary Islands as an ESL tutor! Now I’m scrambling to find money for travel and necessities not covered by the stipend.

Cycling will always be number 1 in my heart. In many ways I’ve been pedaling to this dream of being an educator and psychologist ever since I entered the BCYC youth development program.
