Espresso Machine for Beach Bakery
Donation protected
Hey there everybody! Amy O'Connell here.
It's finally happening! I've found a spot for my bakery and we are about to start construction! It's been a long road...writing, rewriting, submitting the business plan, looking all over the city, hearing no several times, going back to square one. And finally I found my way back to the neighborhood I grew up in, Rainier Beach, where I have signed a lease to occupy a space in the new Kenyon Center, where the old Colonial Pancake House used to be. I am so excited, there are no words. I am so ready to share my cooking with the city! My family has been an integral part every step of the way, and they will be there in the coming years as I navigate my way through small business ownership.
But here's where you come in! I have everything budgeted in, except the expresso machine! And most of you probably know how expensive those can be. So I need some help. I would like to get a decent machine, plus I need a couple of grinders. So this is my plea for help! I'm looking to raise $8000, which will cover the machine and two grinders, and help with initial coffee costs. And there's a great reward for donating. You get a pass to the soft open of Rainier Beach's hottest new bakery, Beach Bakery! A soft open is basically a party to see how things go before we're open to the public. Food, beverages, music and a sneak peak into the bakery! Just for donating whatever you can afford. And if you can't afford to donate, then just send a couple good thoughts my way, that's an awesome way to be a part of this campaign, too!
I really want to thank all of you for being a part of this! You each contribute to me and my baking in so many ways!
A thousand thanks!
