WHO WE ARE
Founded in 2012, Sunu Thiossane (pronounced Soo-noo Cho-Sahn) (definition: Our Roots,Our Heritage deriving from the wolof dialect in Senegal, West Africa) is an arts and academic enrichment-based youth development agency. Our organization provides high-caliber arts training to young people across and within various disciplines. We believe that quality education is attainable when students are valued as individuals in a community,prepared to think globally and challenged to act responsibly.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW:
This summer we are fortunate enough to facilitate our 3rd annual summer camp at the Senegalese American Bilingual School in Dakar Senegal, West Africa.
For a start up program, finding ways to financially support your program is the greatest challenge. The purpose of our project is to provide a memorable experience to the inner city youth of Dakar, Senegal; In addition to encouraging them to help improve their communities by creating projects and becoming social innovators and inventors of their communities through the arts and STEM.
With your support we can make this happen!!
Your assistance is needed! the success of these fundraising activities will go towards the Sunu Thiossane's staff airfare tickets, academic, fab lab and visual art supplies, costumes, transportation as well as room and boarding.
WHAT WE NEED?
We need 480 passionate people to donate at least $30 USD. We have 5 months to reach our fundraising goal of 15,000 USD
WHAT YOUR DONATION WILL BE USED FOR:
1. Supplies for our STEM curriculum Fablab workshop
2. Our program would also utilize the funds to purchase administrative, Art, Science, and performance supplies for the participants and for performances.
3. Airfare
4. Room and board,transportation and food.
