I am Francina, a very sweet 9 yr. old
Shar Pei mini who was rescued running across an eight lane road in Hollywood, FL. I currently live in a no kill dog shelter in Davie, FL. I have bad eye sight and have made multiple visits to the eye vet. I take eye medication in both eyes every day. When I first came to the shelter I had a huge bladder stone removed. I have special food to prevent me from getting more bladder stones. I was just about to be adopted into my forever home and and I now have a mass growing on my right scapula. The vet, Dr. Sobol, performed an aspiration of the tumor and the results came back as a type of sarcoma. The estimate for surgery is $1500. Cost may be more. Sobol Veterinary Hospital in Davie, Fl. is my vet. I desparately need to have surgery as soon as possible to save my life. PLEASE HELP ME.

I am now 3 weeks past my surgery. My leg had to be amputated to get all of the tumor. My surgeon was Dr. Holtzsinger. My stitches are out and I am in good spirits. I had my first chemo today. I am being treated at the Animal Care Cancer Center in Ft. Lauderdale by Dr. Sones. I have a foster mom, Sherry, who took me home with her today to watch over me after my first chemo treatment. The chemo treatments cost $284 each. I also need a blood test a week after each treatment to make sure my bone marrow levels are good which cost $55. I still NEED your HELP to pay for these treatments so the cancer does not spread. Please, please donate so I can continue my chemo and enjoy my new life with my foster mom.

Went for a blood test today. Results came back good. I will get my next chemo in two weeks. I went to the beach early this morning. What a good day for me.
