Dandyfam Donation Drive

I have set up this account to help my dearest friends, Heather and Chuck . I met both of them in college and we have been the best of friends 35 years later. They are the God Parents to our two sons. We really are more like family then friends.
Chuck had cardiac bypass on Friday July 24, 2015.  He came through the surgery well but had complications with his lungs and was not been able to come off the ventilator.  His oxygen levels continued to drop to dangerous levels and he had to be placed in a medically induced coma so that his body can rest and recover.  Over the next few weeks Chuck battled low oxygen levels, high respitory rates, poor kidney function with dialysis, removeal of chest tubes, skin breakdown, speech and physical therapy. Lying in bed in a medically induced coma for so many days has taken its toll on Chuck's body.  Just last week they slowly brought him out of the coma and removed the ventilator. We  didn't realize how weak he would be when they woke him up.  That being said, he has made HUGE strides this week, and we are so excited and thankful for that!  We are all so proud of him for fighting so hard to stay with us.
Heather has been by Chuck's side practically non-stop. Unfortunalty, Heather just started a new job and though the employer has been very understanding, if she takes any more time off, it will not only be unpaid but she will have to cover the entire portion of the health insurance premium. On top of all this, Heather just found out yesterday that her dear mother, who has been in hospice care, is rapidly declining. They believe she only has days to live. Heather's siblings all live in Canada. Her son lives in another state and her daughter has 3 childen under the age of 6 and just started back to work as a school teacher. Heather and Chuck are in a severe financial crisis with the mounting medical bills and health insurance premiums. I started this fund to help them out with health insurance premiums , medical cost and various expenses just to give Heather peace of mind as she continues to care for her critically ill husband and tries to spend quality time with her mother before she is ushered into her heavenly home.
