Hi! I'm Matteya Tuininga, and this September I will be training with YWAM (Youth With a Mission) at the University of the Nations in Kona, Hawaii.

YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus worldwide. I will be doing 3 months of training in Kona, Hawaii learning how to spread the gospel and deepening my relationship with God. Then I'll be sent on a 3-month outreach where they feel called to send me, and I will spend those 3 months doing missionary work with the beautiful people who live there!

To be able to afford my program and mission field, I need to raise $10,950. Additionally, I will have expenses to pay on my own such as flights and any money I need while I am there for my daily essentials.

I just finished my first year at Trinity Western University and am working towards my education career to become a teacher! Ever since I attended missions trips with my youth in 2018 and 2019, I have felt called to the mission field and specifically this year I have felt a calling on my heart. I am also eager to grow my relationship with God and am having a difficult time doing that here in Langley, BC with the pressure of worldly things at home. I am very excited this opportunity has come my way and hope you might consider helping me by supporting me financially.
