My Young Friend Is Fighting Heroin Addiction

This 23-year-old kid I know (and LOVE) picked up a heroin addiction two summers ago. He almost died several times due to an overdose. His name is Igor. We are seeking your support urgently as there is a unique treatment opportunity available in two weeks (the weekend of Halloween)!

That attempt was quite successful actually. With your help Igor was clean and doing great for about 4 months. Then unfortunately COVID happened and we lost touch as everyone in the world was sent into a tailspin. This led Igor to use again and he's been on and off Heroin for two years.

 

We've found a very unique treatment program (private message me for details) and with a partial scholarship from the practitioner and with travel expenses, we are still trying to raise $2,000 to pull this off!

 

Nothing is 100% guaranteed but Igor is 1000% committed to saving his own life and we're on a mission to help him.

But we need YOUR help!

Igor has no insurance, no money, and only his mom to support him (she has limited means).

11/8 UPDATE: 

I’m so excited to share a positive update on our fundraiser! 

After meeting our fundraising goal, Igor completed his extensive plant medicine journey and has been clean from his addiction for over four weeks. 

Our next big step is to get him out from the neighborhood where drugs were so easily accessible and move him 45 minutes out of the city. 

Housing in the suburbs is not cheap but we found a solid place for $500 per month. 

We also need funding for basic needs as food, transportation, $10 gym membership, bedding, etc., while we set Igor up with a new job. 

Lastly, one of Igor’s biggest life challenges was the immigration issue that set him back and was also a leading contributor to his depression (and his dependence on drugs). 

We found a lawyer who understands immigration law and has given him a clearer path to citizenship. It’s a long story, but despite his mother being a US citizen, Igor’s citizenship was never cleared even though he came to the US at the age of seven. 

This lawyer needs a $500/$2500 deposit for a multi month process to help him. 

So once again, we’re asking all of you who already contributed to contribute even more and for those who haven’t yet, we’re asking you to help us too!
