Hello, my name is Kai and I had the honour of being Mayu’s husband. We had almost 18 years together and never had a single argument in all that time. We always said how much we love each other every morning and every night without fail for nearly 18 years. Mayu is my soulmate of this Im absolutely sure.
Mayu was a kind and gentle person and was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer on the 10th June 2025. This was hard news to hear but, she started getting things organised and tried to prepare us for what was to come. Mayu loved life, loved meeting new people and would spend hours in the supermarket all because she was chatting to people she had never met before. Mayu enjoyed gaming on the Xbox and formed a few special friendships along the way but, her passion was painting and craftwork and wanted to create a few art pieces for her best friend who was also our daughter. She wanted to create a piece for her daughter’s partner and for me when she passed her art courses. Unfortunately she was unable to fulfill this wish due to collapsing at home on 16th July 2025. Sadly my wife Mayu passed away on the 23rd July 2025 in hospital one week after being admitted. Mayu fought hard to survive for as long as she could and even gave us two days in the middle where she seemed perfectly ok, many people never get that chance to say goodbye and for that alone we are eternally thankful. Mayu was a warrior right up to her final breath. Her wishes are to be cremated and we are trying to raise the funds and desperately need some assistance from people who would be kind enough to help. We would be so grateful for any help you may be able to provide. Thank you for taking the time to read this plea and we would be grateful if you could share this appeal
