Recently in February of 2018, my family and I got hit with the worst news concerning my wife's health which was lung cancer. Our immediate reactions was that we couldn't picture our lives without her and had to act urgently! Along with her fight with cancer, she has other health concerns such as lupus, high blood sugars, and high blood pressure. These other health issues she has been dealing with for over 10 years and takes a lot of medication daily. Through her battle with lung cancer, she was given options by lung cancer specialists of several treatments, radiation, chemo and surgery. The route that she chose was to have surgery to remove the cancer and 20% of her lung. Although this turned out to be the most expensive route, we knew that it would give her the biggest piece of mind and relief.  She had her surgery on March 20th and it was a successful surgery. My wife does not work due to her health over these past 10 years, and with me being the primary care giver, I took an unpaid leave to take care of my wife, leaving my daughter and son in charge of our financial situation which include her surgery bills, medication bills, and other expenses that are non medical. All donations will go directly to my wife's medical bills. Any amount helps and will help ease mine and my wife's mind of focusing on her health  recovery and less of the financial stress of it all.
