Update: It is with completely broken hearts that we have to share the news that our beautiful Anne passed away today, October 29th, at 9:52 am. After fighting so hard in intensive care, she suffered another cardiac arrest this morning, and her body could simply not take any more. While we are absolutely devastated, we take comfort in knowing she is finally at peace and reunited with her past loved ones. But our fight is not over, we still desperately need to get the hospital bills covered as well as the repatriation to get her home to Liverpool to be surrounded by her loved ones,We want to say a deep heartfelt thank you to everyone for your incredible support, kind thoughts, and constant prayers during this unimaginably difficult time. Help Us Bring Our Beloved Anne Home to Liverpool

Hi everyone, it’s Alan Morris and family.

Two weeks ago, my wife Anne received the all-clear from cancer after a two-year battle. We were overjoyed and, to celebrate, we travelled to our favourite destination, Turkey.

After just three days, our lives were turned upside down. My beautiful wife of 30 years suffered a massive heart attack and cardiac arrest and was rushed into intensive care at AHU Hospital in Marmaris.

Devastatingly, after undergoing the necessary tests, we have been told that there is no brain activity and that Anne has been declared brain dead.

Unfortunately, Anne had not declared her previous cancer diagnosis to her travel insurer because she had received the all-clear just two weeks before travelling. As a result, we have been told that her travel insurance is void and that they will not provide support towards her hospital treatment or bringing her home.

Who is Anne?

Anne is my amazing wife of 30 years.

She is a wonderful mother of six, a fantastic nan, and the person who holds our entire family together. She is 64 years old and has always been the heart of our family.

People often say someone is the glue that holds a family together.

But Anne wasn’t just the glue — she was the brick and mortar.

Why we need your help

Anne remains in intensive care in Turkey while the necessary arrangements are being made. The hospital bill is currently around £40,000 and rising by approximately £3,500 every day.

Our biggest priority now is to bring our beautiful wife, mum and nan home to Liverpool so that our family can be together and we can say our final goodbyes with the dignity she deserves.

The money we are trying to raise will help towards the growing hospital costs in Turkey, as well as the cost of bringing Anne home and covering the necessary repatriation arrangements.

We desperately want Anne to come home to her family rather than being left thousands of miles away from the people who love her.

We are not expecting anyone to empty their pockets. If everyone who sees this could give even a small amount, it would mean more to our family than we could ever put into words.
