My wife Angela

Hi my name is Rod. I’m trying to raise money for my wife so we can afford to train her dog, to be a service dog. We didn’t realize how much that would cost. 20 thousand for a two year program.

My wife was a PSW. Working for a long term care facility. She was ordered to work short staffed. Her too 18 residents. One man in particular was a vary large ex prison guard with dementia. My wife was trying to get him ready for bed. When she reached down to unfasten his seat belt. He beat her. Knocking her out. Finally some time later, the security had found her on the floor. It turned out she had 3 concussions, 8 cracked teeth. Neck and spinal injuries. This man hit her head so hard. It changed the prescription in her glasses.

She has to undergo neck surgery. Because her spinal cord was getting choked off and started to lose feelings in her upper body.

she has balance problems has fallen numerous times. From the concussion and undergone 9 wrist surgery. From falling

she drove herself to a mental hospital here in Guelph. Because of all the stress, pain, anxiety and depression. She tried to take her own life 3 times. They were able help her with that. Thank God

I can’t believe one man. One day. Changed my family’s whole life for ever.

It has been 7 years and it’s like it was yesterday.

My wife would use the dog For PTSD. She has balance issues. And can’t walk properly can’t pick up stuff she drops regularly.

We have spoken to dog trainers, they assured her they could train her 4 month old dog to do the things she needs. Help her Steady, balance and pick up things for her.

please help she is on disability and we are trying to manage with the day to day bills. We are trying our best to pay for this. But with dog food and up coming vet bills. We are in pretty deep.
