Hi, my name is Shannon. I’m a mom of one daughter and a pet parent to our beloved, caring, smart, protective, and loving dog, Wolfy. I’m doing this fundraiser because my little doggy Wolfy, 1 year and 4 months old Yorkshire terrier, who I also consider my emotional support animal, has suddenly became very sick and I need help to get him the medical care he needs. The money will go toward veterinary bills for testing, medications and prescription foods to help Wolfy get the medical care he needs during this difficult time. He got sick very unexpectedly and has been sick for a couple of weeks and I have had numerous tests done with no luck on any answers and am told that further testing is needed which unfortunately can get pricey. He’s use to be an energetic happy little guy but he has completely changed due to the severe pain he’s in, the lethargy and lack of appetite even with me trying day in and day out to get him to eat enough, even with the prescribed medications.

I have spent a lot of money to help find out what’s going on with my Wolfy, I love him so much and would do anything for him. He’s our family dog, and he is the sweetest dog I’ve ever known. He hasn’t been himself in a while, wanting to lay down most of the day in the fetal position. You can hear his quiet whimpers, vomiting, and see his hunched back due to severe abdominal pain. It’s the hardest thing to know that even though I have spent a lot of money to get him better, unfortunately it didn’t get me any closer to getting him feeling better. My veterinarian told me he needs to go to intensive care in the hospital because at this point, no matter what is causing this, he is severely underweight now due to the vomitting, diarrhea and lack of appetite.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the money at this moment to get him the further testing needed or intensive care but I’m trying everything I can to get it because I can’t lose my baby. The vet gave medicine to keep him comfortable while we try to figure this out, but it doesn’t seem to get him out of pain. He lost so much weight and is now only 3.5pounds. Despite me buying the best food I can for him, he either won’t eat it or can’t hold it down, but lately, he just doesn’t want to eat. When I see the look on his face, I break down because I can’t handle seeing him in this pain, especially when I have been trying to do everything I can to help him.

Please help with anything you can. We love Wolfy so much, and he brings joy to all the people he sees when we go for our daily walks and park visits but we haven’t been able to get him out as much due to him being so sick. Please help; I just want my little Wolfy to get better and get over this sickness that just came on so suddenly and aggressively. At this time, his vet at HeroPet in Westville believes further tested is needed to rule out other causes but says he is very ill and needs hospitalization. Please help with what you can. Thank you.(edit) So far he has been tested for many different things but all come back negative. His blood work is abnormal but unfortunately they have only been able to rule things out on what it could be, but not say what it actually is. He had more testing done at an ER vet and they still are unsure why he’s having the symptoms he’s having so they’re recommending a barium study and a repeat blood work and repeat X-ray but I have spent over $1900 and just don’t have any money left but I have to save my baby so please help with what you can or email me to see if we can arrange payment directly to the Veterinarians office.
