Hello everyone, my name is William Hatcher. I have been chosen as one of three Australian students to attend the International Science Summer School Heidelberg (ISSSH), a four week research-based program held in Germany from July to August. The ISSSH is held at the Max Planck Institutes (Max Planck Society) home to some of the best Research Institutes in the World.

For the entirety of my time there I will be conducting research into a field of my choice, such as Nuclear Physics or Medical Research (to be finalised in the next month) under the supervision of Max Planck Society’s top Scientists who are some of the most distinguished in their field. 

This is an exciting and privileged opportunity for me, the learnings  which I will gain and look forward to bringing these back to Australia.
