My unexpected journey. facing cancer with your support.

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Connie, and I am a survivor of several different type of cancers. Here is my list so far, cervical, skin, thyroid which spread to my lymphoid, breast also spread to my lymphoid, so far a total of 19 surgeries.
twice radiation of 30 days each, for the thyroid and breast, 5 times radiation Iodine for the thyroid and chemo therapy for the breast.
I have survived so far, with love and laughter from family and friends. Part of my healing is helping other patients, who are strangers, family and friends.
My strongest support and wanting to survive for, is my husband Wally of 41 years, who has had 2 strokes, and our three boys and one grandson. my surviving parents and we both have very strong sibling family support.
SURPRISE! Here is where we are now, beginning 2025, my prescriptions since 2015 of 27 pills per day. My new normal to survive.
Beginning in Jan. feeling dizzy , pain on my ribs. my doctor ordered an Xray, then a CT scan and a bone scan, then a biopsy on my lungs, finding several spots on both but one large one. A surgeon was going to remove, thinking it was a certain type of lung cancer. Now with the results he wouldn't be able to remove all of them, because they are thyroid cancer in my lungs. we will have to recess treatment.
In the mean time I had a MRI scheduled on my head for walking towards one side. I was suppose to go next week, but the hospital had a cancellation last Thursday night. After my MRI they sent me home and then they called me, to come back to the hospital and go to emergency that they are expecting me. they said I have a substantial blood clot on my brain. and there was a bleed, but not now. So off I go to ICU, to watch for bleeds, signs of a stroke or seizure. the ICU doctor told us with thyroid cancer, one side effect is the blood thickening.
also the tumor is along the center of my whole brain and one spot they don't know what it is.
I feel, I have more good luck than bad, because I am still here. the Medical Teams have been Amazing. I am now home .
I have to inject myself, twice a day of a blood thinner for I don't know how long. Not being 65 yet. your support would be, so appreciated.
My husband, Wally is 72 and drives a school bus, he is a superman supporter. but the stress I have put on him, breaks my heart.
