I’m reaching out on behalf of my amazing uncle Joe Graham, who is currently facing one of the biggest challenges of his life. After years of battling non-healing wounds caused by peripheral vascular disease, he recently had to undergo a below-the-knee amputation. This was a life-altering decision, but one that ultimately saved his life.

Unfortunately, the road to recovery is long—and expensive.

My uncle had to retire early from his job due to his condition, and as a result, he no longer has access to the benefits or income he once relied on. While government assistance helps cover a portion of the cost for a prosthetic leg, he is still left with a $5,000 out-of-pocket expense—a cost he simply cannot manage alone.

This prosthetic leg will give him back some independence, mobility, and dignity. It’s not just about walking again—it’s about being able to live a fuller life, care for himself, and regain a sense of normalcy after everything he’s been through.
