My Ukrainian refuge family

As many of you know, my mum (Rayisa), sister (Dina), her husband (Sacha), and two 11 year old nieces (Sonya and Sacha) are now refugees in Romania, fleeing the war Russia is waging against Ukraine. Many of you expressed your heart felt horror, well wishes for my family, Todd and I, and made generous offers of support. We will be grateful and humbled by any support you can offer. My family is heading to an AirBnB in Brasov, that we have rented until early May. There is no telling when they will be able to return home, or what will be left when they do, and thus great uncertainty on future costs. We are humbled by the support you have provided already, emotional, “meals on wheels”, laughter, and simple chats. This means the world to us and got me through an unbelievably stressful time. Any financial support, while not expected, will be much appreciated, help immediately, and reduce anxiety around my family's future.

Every dollar will be spent on rent, clothing (they left in winter coats with a bag or two each), and the cost of living.
