My twin brothers Covid relief

My twin brother Paul unfortunately contacted Covid. He has pre existing conditions which complicated his recovery. Since then he has been despondent and quite sad.  The doctors said the road to recovery will be difficult and he may not fully be the same.  Currently he is living in Michigan with his girlfriend who is a nurse.  She told me that he is depressed and she worries his will to live is troublesome. However she said that maybe if we get him a puppy that may give him purpose. My brother has always loved the Japanese breed of Shiba Inus. Its on his emails and also his profile. The dogs are expensive and she does not have the funding to do this. I believe that having a dog in his life, especially a puppy could give him the lift he needs. My brother has had some difficult times these past several years. I have been very supportive of him but living in Europe there is a lot of distance. He is a veteran so the VA hospital is keeping an eye on him. I just think maybe this little dog can bring hope back to his life.
