Hi my names lily, I am 13 years old. I recently had a visit to my school from a organisation called Camps International. They have offered an experience of a life time in July 2026 myself and other volunteers will set off on a four week expedition to Kenya. During my time in Kenya I will be involved in a range of projects. Many schools are in very dilapidated buildings which suffer from erosion and seasonal flooding. We will help build or renovate school buildings so that local children have a clean and safe academic environment. I will also get involved in initiatives to promote a peaceful co-existence between the community and the local wildlife, such as improving natural water holes and planting indigenous trees for habitat and food sources. This trip will benefit me in many ways and improve my confidence. I’m hoping to raise £4,995 to make this trip possible, I'm hoping to raise money through Go-fund me, I have been selling my old clothes, I have lots of fundraising ideas that I’m putting into place.
