Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
About a week after Sir Chris Hoy announced his diagnosis I too was diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal cancer. Those words still echo in my mind, reshaping everything I thought I knew about time, purpose, and life itself.
But in the darkest moments, light often finds a way in. Around the time I received my diagnosis, I read Sir Chris Hoy’s book. His words — full of courage, perseverance, and raw honesty — struck a chord deep within me. They didn’t just inspire me; they helped me choose hope, when despair felt easier. This is what has inspired me to get in the saddle to support Sir Chris on the Tour de 4 in September to help others.
I may not have the power to change my own prognosis, but I do have the strength to do something meaningful with the time I have left. And that’s why I’ve created this page — to raise funds that will support others who are going through what I’m going through. Those standing at the edge, terrified and overwhelmed, searching for something — anything — to hold onto.
Your donations will help provide:
Emotional and mental health support for cancer patients and their families
Access to counseling or wellness programs that can bring comfort, dignity, and peace
Resources like books or personal care kits that bring hope and small joys during treatment
Support for local cancer charities that work tirelessly every day for people like me
This is no longer just my story — it’s a shared mission. Whether you give £5 or £50, every donation is a step toward bringing hope where it’s needed most. And if you can’t give, please consider sharing this page or simply keeping us in your thoughts.
Thank you for walking beside me on this path. Your kindness means more than you’ll ever know.
